Subscription lifecycle One subscription rests in exactly one condition at a time. The initial marker enters trial; trial ends into active; active renews itself each month; a failed payment moves active to past due, which is the focal condition; past due returns to active when payment clears, or becomes cancelled when the grace window ends. Active can also be cancelled directly by the user. Cancelled reaches the terminal marker when the record is purged.
