1. Client IPC Shim

berry-electron-bridge.js + berry-electron-state.js + berry-electron-queries.js emulate window.electronAPI and synthesize 18 real-time state topics over local REST with zero cloud lock-in.

2. 9 Domain Companions

official-companions-catalog.js configures 9 role-specialized companions across Consulting, Engineering, Executive Ops, Marketing, Operations, Research, Sales, Support, and Recruiting.

3. AgentDOM Service

agent-dom-browser-service.js strips script/style noise, extracts H1–H3 hierarchy and HTML table rows, and injects data-oi-id="oi-1..N" into interactive DOM elements.

4. Karpathy-Wiki Memory

karpathy-wiki-memory-engine.js maintains 3-tier Markdown memory (PROFILE.md, COMPANION.md, observations/YYYY-MM-DD.md, entities/companies/*.md) with Dream Consolidation.

5. Chat Orchestrator

companion-chat-orchestrator.js executes a 4-step tool pipeline per turn: DOM inspection, Spreadsheet/Document Visual Artifact creation, observation logging, and entity graph upsert.

First safe use

  1. Run the automated full-stack test suite (SQLite state, CLI harness router, DOM agent, Dream Consolidation). 
    npm test
  2. Inspect the local state register (9 domain companions, 31 skills, 5 routines, CLI harnesses, Karpathy-Wiki files).

  3. Build and launch the native macOS WKWebView desktop bundle.

All runtime data is stored locally under .berry-data/ (SQLite + Markdown wiki).

A practical loop

GET /api/state

Returns the 9 domain companions, open tabs, 31 skills, 5 scheduled routines, CLI harness status, and Karpathy-Wiki Markdown files.

POST /api/chat

Runs the AgentDOMBrowserService with [data-oi-id] tagging, creates Visual Artifacts, and appends Karpathy-Wiki observations.

POST /api/memory/dream

Consolidates recent session observations directly into the companion’s persistent COMPANION.md profile.

POST /api/routines/run

Executes scheduled browser routines and persists structured execution logs in SQLite.
