Seven releases, placed at their true dates. The eleven-week gap before v2.0 is the data, not a layout accident: the query engine rewrite absorbed a full quarter.
Illustrative dataset โ the releases and dates are invented to demonstrate the timeline grammar and describe no
real product. Spacing is truthful at 2 px per elapsed day over the full year; no gap is compressed and no
marker is nudged off its date, so the unequal intervals are themselves the data. The axis is labelled at quarter
gradations, and every date is printed with its label in the monospace token so no position has to be measured.
A timeline plots instants against a calendar rather than value against a scale, so data-baseline is
not-applicable. Colour resolves through design-system tokens; where no project tokens are compiled
the page falls back to the documented neutral palette declared in :root. Static, script-free, and
offline.
